Building Relationships

At New Song we believe in the importance of building not only the vertical relationship between you and God but also building the horizontal relationships that are so important in developing the spiritual life. Here are some of the friendship groups and fellowship activities that you can be a part of:

Dinner for Eight Groups
Here's a fun way to get to know some fellow church members. Groups of eight people (couples and singles) get together monthly for dinner. People sign up and names are drawn at random. Dinner dates are set at the convenience of the other group members. After four months, all names are put back in and re-drawn to form new groups. New groups have been formed for January - April. Contact Barbara Stoeve for more information on this great fellowship ministry.

Forever Friends
The Forever Friends (senior fellowship group) meet once a month, usually on the first Friday. Check back here later for May plans.

Marriage Encounter
Your relationship with your spouse is one of the most important relationships you have and the church can help make your marriage even better. Marriage Encounter is 44 hours over the course of a weekend where married couples can get away from jobs, kids, chores and phones -- and focus on each other. It's a way to bring God into a marriage and make a great marriage even greater! If you'd like greater depth, growth and enrichment in your relationship, you'll love the difference a Marriage Encounter United Methodist Weekend can make! For more information contact Jan & George Caruso. A four page explanation of Marriage Encounter and Engaged Encounter is available by request.
