Responsibilities:
1. provide oversight by coordinating efforts of all mission and outreach ministry teams under the “Send” ministry umbrella.
2. meet weekly with pastor and staff (“Red” team) for spiritual development and guidance.
3. meet minimum of twice per year with each “Blue” ministry team leader to ascertain ministry activity and effectiveness.
4. work with ministry team leaders to develop and implement a comprehensive plan for mission and outreach that meets the goals and objectives of the Church Council.
5. recruit and train leaders for all mission-related ministry team when required.
6. provide a written report to Charge Conference noting areas of successful ministry and goals for coming year.

Qualifications:
1. must be a member of the church
2. must have a passion for mission and serving the needs of others in our community and around the world
3. must have good administrative and leadership skills
4. must have good interpersonal and relational skills
5. Must have spiritual maturity and a commitment to a Christian life-style

Compensation:
This is a servant leadership position with no financial renumeration. The minimum commitment for service is three years.

The Director of Mission & Outreach is accountable to the Director of Program Ministries and the Church Council.
