Our Prayer & Care Ministries

Through our ministries of prayer and care we seek to bring healing and wholeness, and to be the presence of Christ to those who are in need.

Care Caller Ministry Team
The Care Caller Ministry Team provides a number of important care ministries to our church family. Care Callers visit in the hospital and to our shut-ins, provide transportation to doctor's appointments, provide meals to families in crisis -- while a family member is hospitalized or just returning home from the hospital, and send out cards and letters of sympathy. Contact our Care Caller Coordinator, Patti Lottermoser, for more information.

Prayer Force
Join the "Prayer Force." This prayer ministry team meets Mondays at 9:15am in the worship center. Come join us for devotions and prayer every week. If you are interested in being part of an evening prayer team (Tuesdays or Thursdays) please contact Marie Kloster for more information.

E-Mail Prayer Team
Our e-mail prayer team offers daily prayers for those on our prayer list. If you'd like to be part of this important intercessory prayer team, send your request and e-mail address to Kathy Norris at

Prayer Partner Ministry with Our Partner Church in Bay St. Louis, MS
Many of our church members are prayer partners with members of our partner church, Main Street UMC, in Bay St. Louis, MS. We send cards, small gifts and keep them in our prayers as they rebuild their community and their lives following the destruction of Hurricane Katrina.

Parish Nurse Ministry Team
The purpose of the Parish Nurse Ministry Team is to provide education and assistance with the health and medical needs of our congregation. Trained and licensed nurses offer blood pressure checks on the first Sunday of each month prior to and after the 9:30am worship service. They plan to offer seminars on a variety of health topics. For more information contact Nancy Crabtree or Susan Tomaszweski.

HeartSaver Volunteers
We now have over a dozen trained HeartSaver Volunteers who have been certified in CPR and in the use of the AED (automatic external defibrillator). HeartSaver Volunteers will be present at worship services and other church events to provide life-saving care in the event of a medical emergency. For more information contact Becky Wells or Susan Tomaszewski.

Growing Seasons - Helping Children Cope with Loss
This is a bereavement group for young children who are dealing with the trauma of divorce or death in their families. Using crafts and "play therapy" this program helps children express their pain and help them through the grieving process. Contact Maryann Jeffries.
